Standard(s):
IT-FWD 3.1 Identify basic HTML document (web page) layout & tags used to create web pages according to industry standards (e.g., header, footer, side bar, main content, navigation/menu bar, tabs/drop downs).
IT-FWD 3.2 Demonstrate ability to create a web site utilizing the latest version of HTML (e.g., headings, paragraphs, breaks, lists, links, images, horizontal rules, divs).
IT-FWD 3.3 Demonstrate ability to format text using proper tags set by the W3C (strong, emphasize).
EQ: How do we identify HTML tags for paragraphs? What is the difference between the line break element and the horizontal rule element?
Bellbuster: Review and complete the W3 School tutorial for PARAGRAPHS. Click on the "Try it Yourself" button. Follow the directions below:
1) Change all text within the <p> tags to whatever text you want.
2) Add two additional sentences using the <p> element.
3) Create a screenshot of your work and turn it in on Google Classroom. At the bottom of your document answer the following questions:
Lesson Objective:
1. Complete today's bellbuster and turn it in.
2.Today we will continue to explore "Text Elements". We will use Notepad ++ to assist us as we complete today's assignment. You will also be given a handout that will accompany the notes. If you feel comfortable in the coding elements that we are covering, feel free to move ahead of the class.
5. Once we have completed today's assignment/lecture please call me over to your desk so that I can give you credit for your work. Additionally, create a folder in your documents to keep your work that your create in Notepad ++. My suggestion is to organize this in folders by Unit number.
6. Record and answer the essential question(s) in your online binder.
