Review and complete the W3 School tutorial for ELEMENTS. Experiment with the "Try it Yourself Button" and read the ENTIRE Tutorial. Once you have finished both of these, answer the following questions and submit your answers in Google Classroom:
1) What are HTML documents made up of?
2) What is between start and end tags?
3) Explain what it means for an HTML tag to be "nested"?
4) In an HTML document, what does the <body> tag define?
5) Give an example of an HTML element that will display correctly, even if you don't include the end tag.
6) What are HTML elements that don't include content called?
7) Give an example of an HTML empty element that can be closed in the opening tag.
8) True or False: HTML tags are case sensitive.
9) Which group recommends using lowercase tags in HTML coding?
10) In which HTML version is lowercase coding within tags demanded?
Lesson Objective:
1. Complete today's bellbuster and turn it in.
2.Today we will continue to explore "Text Elements". We will use Notepad ++ to assist us as we complete today's assignment. You will also be given a handout that will accompany the notes. If you feel comfortable in the coding elements that we are covering, feel free to move ahead of the class.
3. Once we have completed today's assignment/lecture please call me over to your desk so that I can give you credit for your work. Additionally, create a folder in your documents to keep your work that your create in Notepad ++. My suggestion is to organize this in folders by Unit number.
4. Record and answer the essential question(s) in your online binder.
